The new Ace Hardware of Simi Valley, Ca., will host a “board cutting” grand opening event on May 30—followed by a sale and many special activities from May 31 through June 2. The weekend event is also an opportunity to meet Melissa Minter, the new store’s general manager.
The 16,000-sq. ft. store features a wide range of products including lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. It also offers services such as automotive key cutting, key fob replacement, carpet cleaning machine rental, and propane tank exchange.
Ace Hardware of Simi Valley features several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such leading brands as:
• Weber, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, and Ooni grills and accessories
• Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools
• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints

• Nursery plants, flowers, shrubs, and outdoor living supplies
A “Celebration Sale” will be held May 31–June 2 during which customers will receive 20% off most purchases.
On Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., the grand opening celebration event will include vendor demonstrations, free prize drawings, refreshments and a balloon artist and other free kids’ activities.
General manager Melissa Minter was most recently the assistant manager of Ace of Porter Ranch. She joined Westlake Ace Hardware in 2019 from a leadership position at Walmart. A former competitive ice skater, Minter enjoys football, baseball, country music concerts, and Field of Dreams—her favorite movie. Passion guides her life and career, and she adheres to the mantra, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
