Ace Hardware Corp. is starting construction on a new distribution center in Plant City, Fl., that will replace a smaller facility it has outgrown in Tampa, Fl.
The new DC, set to begin operations November 2021, distributing to stores throughout the state. It will employ at least 162 new full-time workers, with about 119 of them transferring in from the Tampa operation.
Projected to be the most state-of-the-art center in Ace’s network, it is expected to break ground in August or September, finish construction in 12 months, and then fill with product over the next 12 to 16 weeks.
