Boise Cascade Selling Oregon Mills to Woodgrain

Boise Cascade, Boise, Id., has agreed to sell its lumber mills in La Grande and Pilot Rock, Or., plus its Island City, Or., particleboard plant to Woodgrain Millwork.

Boise Cascade, Boise, Id., has agreed to sell its lumber mills in La Grande and Pilot Rock, Or., plus its Island City, Or., particleboard plant to Woodgrain Millwork.

“The sale to Woodgrain allows us to further focus on our veneer-based engineered wood products and plywood businesses,” said Mike Brown, senior VP of operations. “The products manufactured at these Northeast Oregon facilities are a good fit with (Woodgrain’s) business strategy.”

Not included in the deal are Boise’s plywood mill and log utilization center in Elgin, Or.
