Eight-unit Hawaiian home improvement chain City Mill has stepped up to help out the Girl Scouts.
The state’s COVID-19 restrictions forced the cancellation of over 1,100 Girl Scout Cookie booths midway through their selling season, severely curtailing local troops’ opportunities to fundraise for their community service projects throughout the year.
City Mill has agreed to sell the cookies at most of its Oahu locations, as part of the 5,000-member Girl Scouts of Hawaii’s Cookie Booth Buyout program.
Shari Chang, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Hawaii, said, “We’re extremely grateful for City Mill stepping in to participate in our Cookie Booth Buyout program. Their support allows the community to purchase boxes of Girl Scout Cookies at most of their retail locations and all sales will go directly to our local Girl Scout troops.”
