Great Lakes Ace has acquired Bellerive True Value Hardware, Nicholasville, Ky.
The store is currently being remodeled and is scheduled to open as a Great Lakes Ace Hardware on Oct. 12. A grand opening celebration is planned in mid-November.
Bellerive True Value owner Bruce Tassin will continue to manage the store team, many of whom have been retained after the acquisition. During the renovation, the location will remain open for sales and service of Stihl products.
The new Great Lakes Ace will offer services such as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, screen repair, and a propane tank exchange. It will also sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. The location will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts:
The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber, Big Green Egg, and Traeger.
In addition to Stihl power equipment, the outdoor power equipment department will feature a full range of electric, and battery-powered blowers, chain saws, mowers, and string trimmers from manufacturers such as EGO, DeWalt, Craftsman, and Toro.
The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy, and Kilz.
Joe Jeffries, president of Ace Retail Holdings (parent company of Great Lakes Ace Hardware), said, “We are thrilled to join the Nicholasville community and continue the outstanding tradition of customer service started by Bruce Tassin and Bellerive True Value. We are eager to show our new neighbors how Great Lakes Ace lives the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and products to help them get their projects done right.”
