Hardwoods, a leading provider of architectural building materials including hardwood plywood, hardwood lumber, composites, decorative surfaces, and outdoor living products, will open its newest and largest distribution center in Stockton, Ca., this June.

This new facility reflects a strategic integration and expansion of three existing facilities in Livermore, Modesto and Rancho Cordova, Ca., into one state-of-the-art location. The objective is to position Hardwoods for significant growth and provide enhanced service across Northern California. Upon completion of the transition, Hardwoods will operate six facilities in the region.

The new 150,000-sq. ft. facility, located at 3021 Boeing Way, just off the Golden State Highway near Arch Airport Road, features 27-foot-high clear span ceilings, 16 docks and five all-weather loading doors. The 9-acre site provides considerable room for future expansion. Its prime location and the installation of advanced automated systems will significantly improve operational efficiency, enabling Hardwoods to maintain a deeper and more diverse inventory closer to its customers.

“This new distribution center represents a substantial investment, confirming our commitment to the Northern California market, and strengthening our strategic service footprint across the West,” said Nick Smith, regional vice president of Hardwoods West. “After careful consideration of dozens of potential locations, we selected Stockton as the ideal hub for our expanded operations. Consolidating our resources and implementing cutting-edge technology in this strategically chosen location allows us to deliver an unparalleled level of service, product selection, and convenience to our customers.”

The facility will boast a bright, modern work environment for Hardwoods employees, a comprehensive showroom showcasing the company’s extensive product line, a well-stocked sample room featuring a complete selection of the company’s high-quality products, and a dedicated and efficient Will Call area that will ensure quick and easy order pick-up for local customers.

Hardwoods is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for its customers. Business operations will continue uninterrupted during the relocation.

With the addition of the new Stockton distribution center, Hardwoods’ Northern California presence will also include existing service centers in Bakersfield, Fresno, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz, providing both same-day and next-day service to customers across the region.
