Makita USA, La Mirada, Ca., has been named the Official Power Tool of snocross’ International Series of Champions.

“Makita believes in the synergy this partnership provides,” said Brent Withey, senior director of brand marketing, Makita U.S.A. “Snocross aligns perfectly and allows us to further connect with fans, the people using the tools every day. In addition to being the Official Tool of ISOC, we are also the title sponsor of Warnert Racing, one of the premier race teams.”

To provide overall support for the sport, Makita is introducing a new contingency program. The Makita Power Contingency Snocross Program allows all racers, in all classes and all ages, to compete for a chance to win Makita LXT Brushless Cordless Tool Kits. As the Official Power Tool of ISOC, Makita tools will be at work on race day by teams in the pits, fans testing tools at the on-site activation, and ISOC staff building the race course.

“We are excited about the partnership with Makita and their new contingency program,” said ISOC president Carl Schubitzke. “We have always relied on Makita tools in extreme weather conditions and we are looking forward to getting their great products into the racers, mechanics, and spectators hands.”

Makita’s sponsorship presence will extend beyond the race track with the Makita All-Terrain Slayer Sweepstakes. This national sweepstakes offers fans a chance to win a Makita Edition 2019 Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo or Makita’s latest innovation in 18V X2 LXT (36V) cordless tools and power equipment and a Kicker Bluetooth speaker and headphone set. The Makita All-Terrain Slayer Sweepstakes opens on December 3, 2018, and runs through the end of March 2019.

The 2018-19 season runs through March and includes national broadcast coverage on the CBS Sports Network.
