Newly remodeled Harrison Lumber, Harrison, Mi., celebrated its grand reopening May 23-24 with special events, product demonstrations, and prize giveaways.
The Harrison Lumber team kicked off festivities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 23. After the ceremony, participants could enjoy free refreshments.
Throughout the two-day event, shoppers checked out product demonstrations with representatives from brands like Amerhart, Lumbermen’s, Milwaukee, STIHL, and Weber. They also registered for a Best Rewards account. Best Rewards members received a free five-gallon bucket while non-members purchased one for $5, and all participating shoppers received a 20% discount on everything they could fit inside it (excluding power tools and some other products).
Shoppers also had the chance to win various giveaways, which were announced in-store.
Working closely with their co-op team at Do it Best, the Harrison Lumber board of directors planned the new store redesign, ensuring each detail was carefully thought out to provide the best possible shopping experience. Despite ongoing renovations, they maintained uninterrupted operations, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
“I’m excited to share the newly renovated and expanded store with the community,” said owner Jeff Haskell. “For the Harrison Lumber team, staying current and providing the best possible shopping experience is important. By expanding key departments and product lines, we can better supply our customers with everything they need. This update is our way of exceeding our
customers’ needs and reaffirming our commitment to the success of every customer project.”
The newly renovated and expanded store located at 201 E. Beech Street in Harrison offers comprehensive building materials, as well as home improvement products and services. Haskell added 5,000 square feet, allowing him to expand key departments, including hand and power tools, outdoor power equipment, outdoor living and grilling, and paint. The store has a modern design, a clean and organized layout, and a wide product selection, making it an ideal shopping destination for both professional contractors and DIYers alike.
In business since 1912, Harrison Lumber is backed by the strength of its status as a member-owner of Do it Best, a US-based hardware, lumber, and building materials co-op with thousands of independently owned locations in the United States and more than 50 other countries.
