Five months after announcing its impending closure, Pyramid Mountain Lumber’s sawmill in Seeley Lake, Mt., has processed its final load of lumber.
The operation went out on a high note, as the mill broke two production records during its final week—the last of August.
The company will continue shipping lumber until the end of the year, while it cleans the facility and prepares to auction off the equipment in late October or early November.
Pyramid Mountain Lumber reported that another wood products manufacturing operation has shown some interest in purchasing the property, but would build a new facility rather than use any of Pyramid Mountain’s equipment.
