Pittsburgh-based Busy Beaver home improvement retailer will open its newest location in Calcutta, OH., on May 24, with a Grand Opening event for the community scheduled for June 1.
At 60,000 square feet, the Calcutta location is a full-line home improvement center that will feature an expanded seasonal department, an indoor lumber yard, a farm and ranch department, and a designated contractor service center.
The store’s seasonal department will offer everything local residents need to kick-off the summer, from flowers, mulch, stone, wicker furniture, and grills, to competitively priced lumber and hardware goods. The new store will also carry Glidden Paints, a brand of PPG, the leading global paint and coatings company.
“We’re excited to introduce our “We Care” pledge of legendary customer service to more communities across the tri-state region in 2019. Our knowledgeable and customer-friendly staff will deliver an outstanding store experience for residents and businesses in the Calcutta/East Liverpool, Ohio area. At Busy Beaver, we take the time to listen and ask questions, so we can offer expert assistance and provide the best solutions for our customers,” said Joe Kallen, chief executive officer, Busy Beaver.
The Calcutta store is Busy Beaver’s fourth location in Ohio, with other stores in Ashtabula, Canton, and Salem. The hardware retailer also operates four stores in West Virginia and 15 stores across Western Pennsylvania, totaling 23 stores across the tri-state area. In addition to the recent opening of Elkins, WV and its upcoming Calcutta, OH., opening, Busy Beaver is expanding its footprint into central Pennsylvania with openings planned for Chambersburg, PA., and Red Lion, PA., in the fall of this year.
