United Treating & Distribution (UTD), a leader in the treated lumber and building materials industry, has officially opened its newest treating plant in Ringgold, Ga.
The expansion marks a significant step forward in UTD’s commitment to serving its growing customer base across the Southeast. Strategically located, the new facility will allow UTD to better serve Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky and the surrounding markets with the same trusted service, quality products, and dependable delivery that customers have come to expect from the Muscle Shoals, Al.-based company.
"We’re excited about this new chapter for UTD," said Chad Epperson, CEO of UTD. "This expansion not only strengthens our presence in the region but also allows us to serve our customers more efficiently."
The Ringgold location is now fully operational, offering shipping and receiving, as well as full access to UTD’s broad inventory of both treated and untreated lumber, along with various building materials like aluminum railing and composite decking. Customers and suppliers will continue to work with the same dedicated sales and freight teams, now with two facilities working together to meet demand with increased speed and flexibility.
The Ringgold facility was acquired a year ago from OSA.
